Cryptopsy was doing shit like this 20 years ago. Dunno if it was intentional or not but I’ve seen a guy in a wheel chair get stomped down at a cryptopsy show, another time I got my ankle busted and this psycho kept trying to grab my hand telling me he was going to cut my finger off. The last time I saw them was at the Stetson in Calgary and I got so beat up in the pit I swore to myself that’s the last time I go see cryptopsy. (It wasn’t) . I dunno if their shows are still like this but holy shit those shows were the definition of feeling anxious and trapped. Been to many many punk rock, metal, hardcore shows, and that band sticks out pretty much every time I think about the roughest concerts. I’m curious to see these guys now, probably too old for these shenanigans ffs.

Dude I totally agree with Landon on if a song is gonna be on the lighter side, don’t just throw a random breakdown in there, wage war has been guilty of this twice, once with the song Youngblood and the other with the song gravity, Youngblood especially cuz I felt like that chunky ass breakdown after the first chorus really took away from the sentiment of the songs lyrics

Honestly, Darko has pretty much been my favorite newer band since their first drop. I love the no boundaries approach. Do everything...not just one thing.
